Richie is a software development engineer for Mastercard Data & Services (D&S). At Mastercard, Richie works on developing internal tools and infrastructure. Richie has helped maintain D&S's internationalization processes for just over 2 years, primarily working on automating the flow of content between source code and Smartling.
Ari Karo
Senior Software Development EngineerMastercard D&S
At Mastercard, Ari is responsible for leading the Continuous Integration team in the DevOps Product Area, which aims to develop scalable and configurable integration systems that support the development workflow. For just over 4 years, Ari has been working on automation platforms, tooling, and infrastructure to ensure the quality, performance, and security of the D&S Platform.
Andrew Saxe
Vice President, ProductSmartling
Andrew joined Smartling as employee #3 from eMusic.com where he worked in the product group focusing on registration flows and music recommendation tools. Prior to eMusic, he was part of the online teams of Omni Studio and APCO Worldwide - both Washington, DC-based strategic communications firms. Andrew has been working in technology and the Internet industry since the mid-1990's having founded and sold online computer retailer EverythingComputer.com. Andrew holds a BS in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and works out of the Smartling NYC office.
Jack Welde
Co-Founder & CEOSmartling
Jack is a technology early-adopter, serial entrepreneur, software patent-holder, product evangelist, and combat-decorated Air Force pilot. Before founding Smartling, he served as SVP of Product at eMusic and COO/CTO at SheSpeaks and RunTime Technologies. He also co-founded Trio Development, a software company that created the first personal information manager, which was acquired by Apple in 1993. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also studied linguistics and interned with Professor William Labov, and an MBA from Cameron University in Germany. Jack was named one of Fast Company’s “Who’s Next” in 2011, and was named a 2013 NYC Venture Mentor by the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
